Wan Yu Fish is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, and artist-educator from Hong Kong, now based in Birmingham and Coventry, who primarily works across drawing, printmaking, painting, photography, and participatory workshops.
Her imagination often sparks from observation during walks and daily life experiences and celebrates humour found in everyday urban life, which can be found in her By Order of the Pecky Blinders...Quack! series. Exploring 4-colour screenprinting, this Farmers Bridge Junction edition combines local landmarks with references to Birmingham’s heritage and popular culture, offering a playful take on Birmingham’s canals through the city’s much-loved Canadian geese. Beware of the swarm of Pecky Blinders at the towpath, or else you might receive some aggressive pecks!
